The Keedzi Training team consists of mother and daughter duo Delana and Lauren Coetzee
Lauren is passionate about helping people deal with the hardships and heartaches of life. She is a public speaker, life coach, and trainer, using her specialized skills to offer a variety of services that are designed to be modified to fit the client’s unique needs.
Services include but are not limited to:
Lauren is a trained facilitator with the Trauma Healing Institute and leads Trauma Healing Groups online and in person. She is also the co-author of “The Pyramid Model for Effective Parenting” Program which is designed to train parents in responsive parenting techniques to prevent and treat challenging behavior in children. She currently also work part-time as a Crisis Counselor for the 988 Suicide Hotline. She is also volunteering her time to Houston Responds as a part of the Mental Wellness Taskforce.
Lauren has a Bachelor’s degree from Liberty University with concentrations in Counseling, Social Studies, and Religion. She also studied through the Texas A&M Agrilife Extension to specialize in Early Childhood Development. In addition, Lauren graduated from B.H. Carroll Theological Seminary with a Master’s in Counseling. Her background includes 12 years in preschools, daycares, and church nurseries, first in the classroom and later in administration. She has been training and facilitating local and international seminars for the last 5 years.
Lauren is also the founder of Reforming Hope, a non-profit organization that provides trauma informed counseling and training to individuals, families, communities, and organizations in South Africa.
Delana has been working with or on behalf of children for 37 years. One of her earliest memories was wanting to become a teacher. Delana’s professional journey began in her first teaching position as an elementary school teacher in South Africa. After getting married and starting a family, her career path included job opportunities in the business arena leading up to opening her own educational toy business, which included supplying schools with educational materials as well as presenting parent training workshops. Delana also used her educational background to volunteer with children and youth at her church. She coordinated and led teams of volunteers in weekend camps and youth outreach programs.
In 2002, along with her husband and two daughters, Delana moved to the US. She founded Keedzi and has trained parents and pre-school teachers in various early child development topics.She is also a Trauma Healing Group and Training Facilitator through the Trauma Healing Institute. Delana and her husband, Johan also actively support various mission projects in South Africa, including the 7 Rivers Outreach which seeks to serve orphaned youth in the community.
